I am a 46 yr old woman, with a child who already turned 18 just recently. I am a degree holder of BS Accountancy, and a holder of a diploma for Practical Nursing. My absence in workforce was due to my obligation of raising my child alone and since now she is already of legal age and is about to take up college, I am now free to go back to work. I dream of becoming a registered nurse someday. Taking Practical Nursing is a step toward my dream, i had a hard time finding my schedule at school and attending the needs for my child then, and so i am grateful i was able to finish the course. What inspired me of being on this field was my mom who suffered a rare disease way back 2014 and passed away the same year. I took care of her for the last few months of her life providing her daily living needs, changing diapers, feeding thru NGT(nasogastric tube), administering her medications, accompanying on her therapy and other needs as arises. In addition, personally raising a child is of no joke. You are on 24/7 of service. And I am so proud of my child as for now she is ready to face the world confidently. NOW that i am ready to work back again, i hope that my future employer would find me here. I preferred to care of elderly as if they are my parents whom i deeply miss so much.
